§ Biogas - Biodigestors
BIOTEC treats agro-industrial effluents, liquid manure, solid organic waste and biomass (grass and forages) through biodigesters. The main products are:
- Biogas
- Dry organic fertilizer
- Liquid organic fertilizer | § Ferti - Irrigation
Ferti-irrigation consists in fertilizing crops using a liquid vector. This technique is usually implemented through irrigation systems. Ferti-irrigation is considered as a fundamental tool for treated wastewater management and valorisation. |
§ Composting
Some raw organic materials are more easily treated through composting (aerobic process) rather than using anaerobic biodigestion. Composting enables to transform an organic waste into a dry, easy to use crop enriching agent. Compost aeration can be achieved via machinery or hand made depending on the project size. For mechanical compost turning, specialized equipments exist. Forced ventilation in silos is also an alternative for aeration. | § Organic Agriculture

§ Odour Treatment
Odours are usually caused by sulphuric organic volatile compounds (sulphurs, mercaptans) and/or nitrogenic volatile compounds (ammonia or amines). All these compounds can be treated through biological or chemical processes. |
