A typical plant for a yeast producing factory includes:

• Regulation and homogenization tank
• Pumping station
• Addition of nutrients and soda
• UASB reactors
• Degasifier
• Lamella Clarifier
• Biological sulphide removal unit (transformation into elemental sulphur)
• Gasometer and biological filter to remove the H2S from the biogas
• Cellar, machine room, laboratory, office
• Optional: Use of the biogas in the factory (boiler – steam and electricity generation)
  

For distilleries and large plants, BIOTEC designs covered anaerobic ponds, with biogas recovery and use. This low cost system is used when space is available.
